This is the story of my quest to train my three Dales Ponies for classical dressage, primarily by using Alexandra Kurland's clicker training methods, with a touch of others such as Philippe Karl and Anja Beran thrown in. I turned to clicker training because I had come up against some issues that I didn't know how to fix and because I wanted to inspire them to become enthusiatic partners. Bella and Jack are all my own work and have never been ridden by anyone else.

I finally managed to get a couple of pics of Bella's new trot. I have only been concentrating on activity so haven't been asking for roundness as well yet. OH was in a hurry and Bella was a bit 'chewy' because I wasn't setting her up properly first, but they give an idea of how much she is using herself now - I am getting a little left behind even in rising trot as this is more movement than I've ever sat on before! I need to think of starting before her again as she powers straight out of the transition from walk or halt into this trot, as she knows that's what gets her the best treats!
